SAP Sapphire News: Rethinking how companies operate with AI

AI For Business

AI Innovation aims to increase business productivity by up to 30%.
Partnership with Perplexity and Palantir brings out the best of customers

Orlando – At the annual SAP Sapphire Conference, SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) has revolutionized work outcomes by unveiling innovations and partnerships that put the power of business AI in all hands.

Newly announced innovations and partnerships revolutionize work outcomes

From virtually ubiquitous Joule Assistants to expanding Joule Agent networks that function across systems and business lines, SAP tells us a new era where access to business AI can democratize business AI and drive productivity gains up to 30%.

“SAP combines the world's most powerful business applications with unique rich data and the latest AI innovations to create a flywheel of customer value,” said SAP CEO Christian Klein. “With Joule's expansion, partnerships with major AI pioneers and advances in the SAP business data cloud, we are offering business AI commitments to drive digital transformation that will help our customers thrive in an increasingly unpredictable world.”

AI to increase productivity

SAP Generation AI Assistant Joules can be anywhere you work anywhere and can provide personalized answers to everything you need to be more productive.

Joule can accompany business users throughout the day to streamline data, real-time surface insights, and workflows to get in and out of the SAP application universe. The new spread of Joule includes an action bar with Walkme that studies user behavior across applications, turning it into a constantly available and aggressive AI that can predict user needs before assistants arise.

Collaboration with Perplexity, an AI-powered answer engine company, will improve Joule's ability to extract structured, unstructured data and solve complex business problems. Powered by Perplexity and SAP Knowledge Graph, Joule answers questions instantly with structured visual answers (such as charts and graphs) based on real-time business data within SAP workflows. For example, users can ask the tool how recent external events will affect your business, and get forecasts based on both the current event and the company's own business data.

SAP has also announced an extended library of Joule agents that rethink business processes and workflows from scratch. Bolstered by the world's most powerful real-time business data and orchestrated by Joule, these AI agents work across systems and business lines to adapt and act autonomously so that organizations can remain agile in a rapidly changing world. In partnership with industry leaders, SAP offers an ecosystem of interoperable agents that can run end-to-end processes. The new agents span customer experience, supply chain management, spending management, finance, and human capital management.

Finally, SAP has introduced an operating system for AI development that will transform the way companies build, deploy and scale AI solutions. The AI Foundation provides developers with a single entry point to extend and run large-scale custom AI solutions, becoming the first real operating system for business AI. Designed in collaboration with Frontier AI Labs rather than Diamond, the new prompt optimizer also helps developers quickly create more effective AI prompts and reduce complex use cases work from days to minutes.

Data that drives smarter decisions

SAP also deployed new intelligent applications in the SAP Business Data Cloud, each built for a specific business line. These applications can use business-critical data to continuously learn, simulate results and guide actions. Detect changes, optimize processes, predict needs, and work with both human and artificial thinkers to promote meaningful impact. For example, the People Intelligence application optimizes team performance by transforming people and skills data into workforce insights and AI-driven recommendations.

Additionally, SAP and Palantir have partnered to promote joint client cloud migration journeys and modernization programs. The seamless connection between Palantir and SAP Business Data Cloud allows customers to build data foundations that are harmonious across their enterprise landscape. Together, businesses will respond responsibly and deliver important outcomes, support customers, including the US government, and quickly adapt to changes and disruptions.

Applications that accelerate cloud adoption

The company has also announced the SAP Business Suite package. It is designed for customers to simplify adoption of SAP cloud solutions that address specific business challenges. SAP builds are built into these packages, allowing organizations to customize their applications to meet their own needs.

Finally, SAP has announced a new solution that will help customers move to the cloud faster. With Joule as your entry point, leveraging insights from SAP solutions such as SAP Signavio and SAP Leanix, the solution provides personalized guidance and actionable recommendations tailored to your organization's transformation goals, helping you value up to 35% faster time.
