Earlier this week, 9To5Google reported that Samsung briefly ran an ad for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6 on its website in Kazakhstan, then quickly removed it. The mistaken ad was reportedly Samsung's first look at its upcoming foldable smartphones. Here are the details:
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6: What to expect
According to a report from 9To5Google, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 will have a new frame design, giving it a boxy look. It also states that the phone will likely be wider than its predecessor, suggesting that it is expected to feature a larger, wider display on both the cover and the interior.
According to reports, an advertisement posted on Samsung's website shows the Fold 6 smartphone in a colour scheme matching the Galaxy S24 Ultra, suggesting that Samsung's next-generation book-style foldable smartphone may feature a titanium body similar to the company's flagship smartphones.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is reported to feature a similar squared-off frame design with a color-matched metallic ring around the rear camera. No major changes are expected from the Flip 6 in terms of display size.
Last month, The Verge reported that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 had appeared on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) testing records. According to the FCC records, the Flip 6 will likely come with a 3,790mAh battery, slightly larger than the current model's 3,700mAh battery.
Samsung's next-generation foldable smartphone is expected to be unveiled at its Galaxy Unpacked event next month.
