SEOUL, Jan. 2 (Yonhap) — Samsung Electronics on Friday unveiled a new portable projector equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) that provides a bright viewing experience in various environments.

Ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show 2026, which opens in the US next week, the company announced the Freestyle Plus, which features improved brightness and upgraded entertainment features compared to the previous generation.

“Freestyle Plus reflects Samsung's vision of creating displays that naturally adapt to the way people live and move between spaces,” Lee Hoon, head of the company's visual display business, said in a release.

Equipped with a “3D auto keystone function'' that allows you to enjoy a flat display even when projecting onto uneven surfaces such as corners, it analyzes the color and pattern of the surface to provide users with a clearer viewing experience.

The device also features Vision AI Companion, which provides viewers with AI-based generated information such as sports scores and movie recommendations.

The product boasts an international standard of 430 ISO lumens of brightness, almost twice as bright as the previous generation, the company added.

“By combining true portability with intelligent AI that optimizes both the viewing environment and the content itself, Freestyle Plus makes it easy to enjoy a consistent, high-quality experience no matter where you are,” Lee added.
