In an exclusive interview with TODAY’s Maria Shriver, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced that the OpenAI Foundation is pledging $100 million to Alzheimer’s disease research and shared how artificial intelligence can quickly lead to better diagnostic treatments and even cures. Altman also addressed concerns about whether he can be trusted to govern AI, saying, “I don’t think that much power should be in the hands of one person, and I don’t think either.”
