For decades, the path from industry expertise to software business required large amounts of capital, large engineering teams, and months of infrastructure development.
Ranchers who understand supply chain traceability and healthcare managers who know how to interact with patients were faced with an impossible gap between knowledge and commercialization.
That barrier is crumbling. Salesforce announced Agentforce 360 at October's Dreamforce event, and today we're announcing a major overhaul of our partner ecosystem, marking the platform's biggest expansion since Force.com's debut 18 years ago.
This move changes the way domain experts turn insights into revenue-generating AI applications without having to build technology from scratch.
A platform to build a business, not just an app
Agentforce 360 makes an ambitious promise to enable anyone with deep industry knowledge to create, commercialize, and scale AI-powered business applications. The platform bundles Marketing Cloud Growth & Advanced, Financial Services Cloud, Automotive Cloud, Data 360, and enhanced security features into a unified foundation.
Builders have access to over 500 pre-built features spanning barcode scanning, mobile offline sync, document generation, automation tools, and reusable components for forms, approvals, and reporting.
The platform's AI-native data foundation eliminates the need for custom ETL pipelines and allows authors to connect to any data source through zero-copy integration.
“We built our entire business on the Salesforce platform,” he said. Tom Richards, Founder and CEO of HarvestPatha protein traceability platform developed from a family farm.
“This gives us the scalability and compliance we need, and frees us from the overhead of building complex infrastructure from scratch. This allows us to focus on perfecting our platform and move from idea to fully operational, real-world business with incredible speed.”
Why this matters for CX leaders
Agentforce 360 positions AI agents as a core component rather than an add-on feature. These agents can engage with customers, resolve issues, generate leads, support employees, and automate repetitive tasks while maintaining full auditability and reliability control.
Agentforce works natively within the platform, allowing organizations to avoid the complexity and cost of integrating external LLM infrastructure.
The platform also supports a selection of models across providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and AWS, and also allows companies to bring their own models to suit industry-specific requirements.
Data 360 creates harmonized customer profiles with managed access, allowing all teams and agents to work in a consistent and trusted context.
Additionally, Marketing Cloud Growth & Advanced provides AI-driven personalization, instant audience segmentation, and cross-channel journey orchestration without any custom logic.
While discussing the news, Brian Landsman, AppExchange and Global Partnerships CEO, Salesforce Vice President“We are entering a phase where expertise is more valuable than code.
“When expertise becomes a product, whether it's livestock management, patent resolution, or shipbuilding optimization, you see how much potential exists if you give people the right foundation.”
Solve treadmill maintenance
Traditional software development has hidden taxes. According to Salesforce, 20-40% of development costs can be spent on ongoing maintenance, building missing functionality, and delivering new features. Features that should take days can take weeks.導入時間が急増します。 The bug rate is tripled.
Agentforce 360 attempts to address this issue through enterprise-grade features that typically take months to build manually. Shield provides encryption, audit trails, event monitoring, data retention policies, and automated compliance controls. The platform maintains out-of-the-box SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, and FedRAMP certifications.
Multi-factor authentication, single sign-on, role-based access control, and continuous penetration testing come standard. Salesforce handles global 24/7 operations with continuous uptime monitoring, real-time threat detection, and platform auditing.
According to Salesforce's 2026 Customer Success Metrics, after migrating to Salesforce, builders report a 30% reduction in IT costs, use of nearly one-third fewer systems, and significant improvements in developer productivity.
Flexible business model for modern markets
Agentforce 360 introduces commercial flexibility that aligns with how your customers actually buy. Builders can adopt seat-based, usage-based, or consumption-based pricing through flex credits.
Additionally, the AppExchange Marketplace will soon offer automatic provisioning and automatic billing, allowing creators to generate private offers with automatic order creation and license provisioning.
Real-time transparency is achieved through automated monthly usage statements and consumption data through App Analytics. Salesforce purchases LLM credits at scale to give builders access to high-quality AI at efficient rates. This ecosystem includes more than 5,000 ISVs, 7,000 system integrators, Salesforce Ventures, and the 20 million-member Trailblazer community.
The platform's open architecture supports continuous improvement through three product releases each year. Open APIs and native extensibility enable seamless connectivity across ERP, GIS, legacy, and third-party systems, and a zero-copy partner network enables secure, real-time data sharing without replication.
Early success stories show broader possibilities
Several organizations are demonstrating what is possible when domain expertise and platform infrastructure converge.
- Certinia From staffing to customer success, we built AI agents across our platform to automate tasks that once took hours.
- honeywell transformed its patent resolution expertise into a subscription business, reducing claims resolution costs by over 95%.
- american obesity center transformed its treatment and outreach model into a patient management platform that improves engagement throughout the care journey.
- aster software, project fortress, Infill, Hitepsand Sotigo We've built purpose-driven products for growers, legal trades, home builders, real estate operations, and the automotive supply chain.
- nCinostarted with a team of bankers and a license for Force.com and has grown into a publicly traded company worth billions of dollars.
Although these examples span a variety of industries, they all have one thing in common: deep knowledge of customer needs combined with infrastructure to handle technical complexity.
What's currently available and what's coming next?
Agentforce 360, Data 360, Financial Services Cloud, Automotive Cloud, and Shield are now generally available. Marketing Cloud Growth & Advanced is expected to be generally available in mid-December 2025.
Tableau Next and Salesforce Partner Marketplace apps are scheduled for release in Q1 2026, with reliability and compliance enhancements planned for FY27.
The platform offers no-code, low-code, and pro-code tools such as Agentforce Vibes, Flow Builder, App Builder, CLI, and DevOps Center.
Builders can create applications that scale globally while maintaining startup-level agility.
A moment worth considering
The convergence of AI capabilities, platform maturity, and flexible business models creates a landscape never seen before in enterprise software. The question facing CX leaders is not whether AI will reshape customer interactions, but rather who will control the tools that define those experiences.
Agentforce 360 represents a bet that if properly equipped with industry expertise, it can compete with traditional software companies. For organizations that have spent years understanding customer journeys, pain points, and moments of truth, this platform offers a path to turning that knowledge into proprietary technology.
The barrier between knowing how to solve a problem and building a solution has never been lower. The question that remains is whether the organization recognizes the opportunity before others in its industry.
