Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff: AI handles half of the task

Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff said AI handles a lot of work in companies that previously dominated by humans.

In an interview with Bloomberg Circuit with Emily Chan Thursday, Benioff said that AI is doing “to 30% to 50% of my work at Salesforce now.”

Salesforce sells AI products that promote the ability to handle tasks without human supervision. Benioff said Bloomberg has around 93% accuracy. Customers include Entertainment Behemoth Walt Disney, among other things.

“We all have to grab our heads around this idea that AI can do something before we were doing,” Benioff added. “We can go on to do more value work.”

Tech companies are incorporating AI into daily tasks in Silicon Valley. At Microsoft, engineers use AI to create 20% to 30% of the code for corporate projects, CEO Satya Nadella said at Meta's Llamacon Conference in April.

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed at the same meeting that AI will exceed half of the company's software development within the next year.

Meanwhile, CEO Sundar Pichai said in an April revenue call that the company is using AI to write new code “a lot more than 30%” from 25% in October. Google employees are increasingly accepting codes that come with AI, he said.
