Runaway Gen 2 is now live. The AI tool allows you to create 4 second clips based on text prompts like ChatGPT and is free to try.
The onslaught of artificial intelligence tools shows no sign of stopping, with tools such as DALL-E, ChatGPT growing in popularity. His latest tool from Runaway, simply named “Gen 2,” is now available for free and can generate videos up to 105 seconds long using a text-to-video interface. Considering the tool’s limit of 4 seconds of videos of him when using the free account, this equates to about 26 videos in total.

To use this tool, you must first visit the Runaway website and create an account. Once done, go to this link to access the tool. Runaway boasts that the tool helps users storyboard, conceptualize, and generate short videos from ideas in their heads.
This tool will output a 4 second MP4 clip. However, in our testing, we found that this tool has some issues with animating motion. Additionally, the output is a relatively low resolution of only 768×448. You can also use Runaway AI’s paid option to increase the resolution of your output.

How to use Runaway Gen 2 AI
run away Runaway Gen 2 AI retains almost everything that made ChatGPT so successful, including a simple UI and a text box to enter prompts to generate output from the AI itself. Additionally, if you want a specific look, you can even upload images for the AI to take notes on. Once complete, the tool will generate a video that you can save to your account profile or locally.

- enter the prompt
- Optional: Add an image to use as “inspiration”.
- Wait for AI to generate output
This is a relatively simple process, but the results have been completely mixed. Some prompts look simple without additional inspiration, while others have little movement or animation. However, supporting this with an “inspiration” for the AI to see seems to have improved the results.
Animating a single subject is difficult, but I’ve had particular success when trying to generate landscapes. Prompts involving surreal subjects like “Frog Man” didn’t do too well either. When I attached my face and tried to draw the “angry man” prompt, it also changed the race of the subject in the generated video, making racial prejudice in AI really this. The question arose whether it was an emerging industry problem. .

AI is being implemented everywhere from Windows to Photoshop and more, and Runaway’s 2nd generation text-to-video conversion is another step in the direction of the coming AI dominance, with experts calling for more regulation across the industry. It just seems like a step.
