Roblox has announced several important updates at the developer conference, including “Roblox Moments,” a short form video feature like Tiktok for users over 13 years old.
Recently announced features allow players to capture gameplay clips of up to 30 seconds, edit with music and descriptions, and share them in a scrolling feed.
This major update will allow users to respond to clips with emojis and ensure a more interactive experience.
Furthermore, the biggest gaming platform announced higher revenue for creators and increased the Dexex rate, with 100,000 Robux equaling $380, up from $350.
Roblox said the average top 1000 developers are 2.9 times higher than 2020, starting to earn up to $1 million a year.
To advance that platform, Roblox has launched a comprehensive suite of cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) features, including the ability to create fully interactive 3D objects, including weapons and vehicles from simple text prompts.
Separately, the company announced that it will release real-time voice chat translations in a variety of languages, including Spanish, German, English and French next year.
Other improvements include server permissions to minimize fraud, more realistic avatar movements, and higher platform fidelity across the device.
These important updates are part of Roblox's efforts to strengthen safety standards and to acknowledge lawsuits regarding child protection concerns.
