Co-engineering effort with Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs powers Richtech’s ADAM robot and extends intelligent automation across physical environments
LAS VEGAS, Jan. 27, 2026 (Globe Newswire) — Richtech Robotics Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: RR) (“RichTech Robotics”), a US-based provider of AI-powered robots that operate in commercial and industrial environments, today announced a hands-on partnership with . microsoft through Microsoft AI Collaborative Innovation Lab To jointly develop and deploy agent artificial intelligence capabilities into real-world robotic systems.
Through close collaboration between Richtech Robotics’ engineering team and Microsoft’s AI Collaborative Innovation Lab, the two companies have worked together to enhance Richtech Robotics’ capabilities. Adam Robots with adaptive intelligence Azure AI. This collaboration will focus on applying visual, audio, and autonomous reasoning to physical environments, enabling robots to go beyond task execution to support more context-based, interactive, and manipulation-aware interactions.
Richtech Robotics and Microsoft have enhanced ADAM with an additional context-aware layer. This allows robots to incorporate signals such as time of day, weather, and promotions to more naturally respond to customer preferences and apply vision-based models to maintain speed and quality during peak demand. These capabilities also support operational awareness, such as notifying staff of ingredient or equipment issues before a disruption occurs. These features are designed to support smoother workflows and more responsive customer interactions in retail environments.
While ADAM serves as a prime example, this collaboration demonstrates how agent AI capabilities can be applied to a variety of physical environments, including logistics, hospitality, manufacturing, and other operational environments where real-time perception, reasoning, and reliability are essential. By combining physical robotics and cloud-based AI models, Richtech Robotics can apply software-driven intelligence across its portfolio to improve operational visibility, quality of service, and performance without the need for large new hardware investments.
“Our collaboration with Microsoft reflects our shared focus on applying advanced AI to real-world, real-world use cases,” said Wayne Huang, Founder and CEO of RichTech Robotics. “Working closely with Microsoft AI Co-Innovation Labs, our teams were able to jointly develop and deploy intelligent capabilities that enhance reliability, enhance customer interactions, and support scalable automation across physical environments.”
The partnership highlights Richtech Robotics’ continued investment in data-driven automation and physical AI to leverage cloud intelligence, perception, and autonomous reasoning to improve performance across commercial and industrial applications.
