More than 70 well-known medical professionals from home and abroad delved into discussions on Saturday regarding gynecological oncology, fetal medicine, reproductive endocrinology, perinatal health, and the application of artificial intelligence in obstetrics and gynecology at the 8th Red House Forum and the 6th Shangay Public Relations Hospital.
Experts who shared the latest achievements and experiences in these fields included scholars from the Chinese Academy of Engineering and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as well as leading experts from renowned institutions around the world, as well as children from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and Children in Philadelphia, USA, and Toronto University in Canada.
The forum host, the Shanghai-based obstetrics and gynecology hospital, Hudan University, announced the launch of an upgraded international exchange initiative at the event, marking a new phase of international cooperation starting this year.
As a participant in the World Health Organization project, Shanghai Hospital has worked extensively with healthcare institutions around the world. For example, we aim to work with counterparts in Canada, South Africa and India to establish health intervention programs across preconceptions, pregnancy, infancy, and early childhood stages, providing solutions to prevent global issues such as childhood obesity and chronic diseases in adulthood. We are also partnering with a research institute at the University of Cambridge, UK, to help prevent and control efforts on cervical cancer.
