Linexa has secured a €2 million pre-seed round led by Project A with angel investment from Thomas Böck, Bastian Nominacher and Christian Schlögel.

Founded by Viktor Stryczek, Alexandros Vassiliadis and Tobias Drees in Munich’s Telefonica innovation hub Wayra in late 2025, the deeptech startup works on machine-level control code, specifically the PLC logic that runs production lines.

Linexa transforms this code into a unified data model that is compatible across vendors and legacy systems. AI agents then autonomously monitor and optimize production. For example, a cosmetics manufacturer switching its filling line from liquid soap to hand cream uses Linexa to analyze control logic, identify risks before downtime, and significantly reduce changeover time. The platform provides manufacturers with a comprehensive and easy-to-access view of their operations.

The core problem is decades of fragmented production lines using control systems from multiple vendors and no unified operational view. Unplanned downtime can cost up to $2.3 million per hour. Maintaining existing systems is a structural barrier to progress.

“The closure of all production sites in Germany and Europe weakens our economic strength and with it weakens Europe’s independence. A strong manufacturing industry is the basis of our prosperity,” says co-founder and co-CEO Viktor Stryczek.

The core problem is decades of fragmented production lines using control systems from multiple vendors and no unified operational view. Unplanned downtime can cost up to $2.3 million per hour. Maintaining existing systems is a structural barrier to progress.

Linexa operates in a market that includes established companies such as Siemens, PTC, and Tulip. All of these companies approach problems through business process layers and sensor data rather than through machine-level control code. New entrants like Sight Machine and Aspentech are focusing on the analytics layer.

Linexa differentiates itself by tackling the technically complex challenge of decoding legacy PLC code across vendors where critical operational information resides.

“European manufacturing is the backbone of the continent’s economy. That’s why we’re supporting Linexa. They will modernize their manufacturing sites fast enough to keep up with global competition,” said Florian Heinemann, General Partner of Project A.

This funding will support platform expansion and team expansion. Linexa has already been implemented by one of Germany’s largest food manufacturers, making it the first real industrial customer ahead of public announcement.
