After more than four and a half years at Observe.AI, Cijo George joins Practo as Vice President and Head of Artificial Intelligence.
An alumnus of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Sijo George earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering and a master’s degree from the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in 2012.
George then joined Nokia Siemens Networks as a software engineer for over a year, followed by two years as a student researcher.
He then served as a member of NetApp’s Technical Staff II. In August 2015, after three years in this role, he was promoted to member of Technical Staff III.
After five and a half years at NetApp, Cijo George joins Belong.co as a Senior Data Scientist. Within a year, he was promoted to technical director of AI.
By December 2019, he had assumed the position of Head of Platforms and AI and was working out of Bangalore.
His involvement with machine learning and Observe.AI began in June 2021 as a manager. After just over two years in this role, he was promoted to Senior Manager of Machine Learning and Engineering. Another promotion in February 2025 saw him named Director of Engineering for AI Platforms.
It is known as the perfect blend of mathematics, engineering, and machine learning. Cijo George has always focused on bridging cutting-edge technology with a truly convenient and intuitive user experience.
In my new role at healthtech platform Practo, I will partner with the company’s product, engineering, and clinical teams to further integrate AI into how patients find and access care, and how healthcare providers deliver more accurate, reliable, and consistent care at scale.
