Artificial intelligence is everywhere, and it's not just big companies that rely on the technology.
Research shows that many small businesses are using AI tools to grow amid financial pressures due to inflation.

“We want to work smarter rather than harder here,” said Lakesha Cole, founder of She PR.
Lakesha Cole is the woman behind She PR, a boutique public relations agency in Tampa, Florida. She manages her small team of 6-10 freelancers and currently the newest member of her team is Artificial Intelligence.
“You don't want to be left behind, right? So, my job as a business owner is to make sure that my team members have the tools they need to do their jobs as efficiently as possible,” she says. Told.

A recent study by the Small Business and Entrepreneurship Council (SBEC) shows that 75% of companies surveyed (507 out of 676) use artificial intelligence tools as part of their operations. The most common are AI tools for financial management, cybersecurity, and AI-powered email marketing.
“We like to say that ChatGPT can help you get started with copywriting. But you still need a human on the other end to make sure your message resonates with the person reading it. '' Cole said.
The same SBEC survey shows that many small businesses want the federal government to create guidelines for the use of AI.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is also monitoring the situation.
“I'm really passionate about helping small businesses continue to adopt technology and leverage technology, including AI, to improve the productivity of their entire workforce and improve their ability to continue to provide this country with what they produce. ,” said Isabel Guzmán, the agency's director. U.S. Small Business Administration.
SBA Administrator Isabel Guzman said she believes AI tools can help entrepreneurs stay ahead of larger competitors.
“Small business owners often write their own press releases or create their own social media, leveraging AI to help with drafting and turn ideas into reality. Because we know that,” Director Guzman said.

He said AI-powered tools can also help improve productivity in small and medium-sized businesses.
“Small businesses need strong customer service to grow,” says Administrator Guzman. “So leveraging chatbots and AI to enhance customer service is a really, really great way for small businesses to grow, expand, and make room for jobs in the process while maintaining great customer support.” It's a great method.”
The SBA also launched the Small Business Digital Alliance to provide free tools and training to businesses.
This week, the agency will also host the National Small Business Week Virtual Summit, which will feature several sessions on AI tools.
