“General Ved Prakash Malik (retd.) has not made any such statement,” PIB Fact Check revealed.

A government-run fact-finding agency has warned of falsehoods being deliberately spread to confuse people and create a lack of confidence in India's military capabilities and readiness.

“Such fabricated content is aimed at misleading the public and undermining confidence in India's defense capabilities. Please check the facts and stop the misinformation,” the post said.

The scam video insinuates that Pakistan has superior weapons and equipment, and claims that the destruction of Rafale jets and S-400 missile defense systems is evidence of Pakistan's military superiority over India. He also suggested that India needs to update its defense equipment.

To support its claim, PIB Fact Check, while sharing an actual video clip, states that General Malik has said that there was no record of the armies of both sides infiltrating into the territory of the other during Operation Sindoor, highlighting the evolution of modern warfare.

“During Operation Sindur, we did not even cross each other's borders. The advancement in technology is immense. We now have standoff weapons. Both countries have it. So we can attack each other even if we are far from the border,” General Malik said in the original video, according to IANS.

“But without a doubt, India has better weapons and equipment,” he stressed.
