Partron and Syntiant develop on-sensor AI solutions for healthcare, robotics, and automotive applications

Applications of AI

Collaboration combining advanced sensor technology and ultra-low power physical AI enables real-time intelligence at the edge

Hwaseong, South Korea and Irvine, California, July 6, 2026 (Globe Newswire) — Partron, a global electronic components and sensors company, and Syntiant Corp., a leading provider of full-stack, low-power physical AI solutions consisting of sensors, processors, and ML models, today announced a partnership to develop intelligent sensing systems that enable real-time decision-making at the point of data collection.

The initiative combines Partron’s expertise in advanced sensor modules, packaging, and manufacturing with Syntiant’s physical AI technology to deliver advanced intelligence at the sensor layer. This enables systems to analyze and manipulate data locally, reducing reliance on cloud and centralized computing resources while improving latency, power efficiency, privacy, and always-on performance.

“Sensors are now evolving beyond mere data collection components to intelligent devices capable of independent decision-making,” said Won-Gun Kim, CEO of Partron. “Partron’s proven sensor module technology, combined with Syntiant’s world-class physical AI capabilities, will enable us to bring innovative on-sensor AI solutions to market faster than ever before, targeting key industries such as healthcare, robotics, and automotive.”

Partron will lead the design and manufacturing of sensor modules, including system-in-package (SiP) and system-on-module (SoM) integration and mass production. Syntiant offers a complete physical AI technology stack, including Neural Decision Processors™, AI models, sensors, embedded software, and development tools. Initial development work will focus on three application areas:
