Orange Business strengthens AI portfolio with new product launches

AI For Business

Orange Group CEO Christel Heydemann emphasized that the company uses its own platform internally.

In summary, here’s what you need to know:

Sovereign corporation – Orange Business launches collaboration, AI, and voice solutions built on European infrastructure, targeting data management and regulatory compliance.

Migration to agent AI – The new platform enables the deployment of AI agents to automate enterprise workflows with governance and cost management.

Trust as differentiation – Orange emphasizes that it uses a proprietary platform internally to enhance reliability and compete with global providers.

Orange Business has introduced a suite of enterprise products across collaboration software, AI infrastructure and voice communications, reflecting a broader shift towards sovereign digital services and operational AI integration.

During Orange Business Summit 2026 in Paris, France this week, the company announced Live Collaboration, a suite of workplace tools hosted on France’s Cloud Avenue SecNum platform. The product combines email, video conferencing, telephony, collaborative workspace and enterprise integration capabilities under one agreement, with operations managed end-to-end by Orange Business.

The platform is positioned as an alternative to leading global collaboration providers, especially for organizations looking to gain greater control over their data and costs. It is built on a European software stack and designed to meet data residency and regulatory compliance requirements.

This position is in line with comments from Christel Heydemann, CEO of Orange Group, who emphasized that the company will use its own platform internally. “We’re drinking our own orange juice,” she said in a LinkedIn post, adding that Orange relies on the same infrastructure, platform and cybersecurity solutions it provides to its customers. She described this as a “guarantee of trust” and pointed out that Orange Business is internally assessed against rigorous performance and security requirements.

In parallel, Orange Business introduced Live Intelligence Studio, an extension of the AI platform developed with LangChain. The platform allows enterprises to design, deploy, and manage AI agents that can execute multi-step workflows with tools to monitor performance, manage costs, and manage usage.

“We are moving from AI chatbots to a new era where AI agents can perform complex tasks autonomously,” said Usman Javaid, chief product and marketing officer at Orange Business.

The platform supports modular deployment using multiple large-scale language models and integrates features such as search extension generation (RAG) and API connectors. It is hosted within European infrastructure and includes centralized governance capabilities to monitor the activities of AI agents, the company said.

Orange Business’ third announcement during the summit focuses on corporate communications, with the company introducing new voice-related features aimed at improving reliability and automation. These include branded calls that display verified caller ID on mobile devices, and deepfake detection technology integrated through partners like Sensity and Reality Defender.

Orange Business is also expanding AI integration into its contact center and telephony systems. The company’s “Agent Telephony” approach uses AI to manage some aspects of the call interaction, including understanding context and recommending next steps. The company said it is working with Microsoft to explore integration with Microsoft Teams Phone and is also looking to extend functionality to platforms such as Cisco Webex.

Taken together, the three releases demonstrate a coordinated strategy centered around a “trusted” digital infrastructure. Instead of competing on capabilities alone, Orange Business positions itself around sovereignty, governance, and integration.

The CEO’s emphasis on “using our own solutions” reinforces this position. By emphasizing in-house implementation, Orange seeks to differentiate itself through operational reliability and reliability. This message is increasingly used by European providers looking to compete with hyperscalers.

By offering a full stack from collaboration to AI agents to communications, Orange Business seeks to provide a regional alternative with greater control over data and operations.

At the same time, the announcement highlights the industry-wide shift from standalone AI tools to embedded automation.
