OQC, JPMorgan Chase and AMD launch Quantum-AI data center to explore real-world fintech applications

OQC, JPMorgan Chase, and AMD today announced a research collaboration leveraging OQC’s new purpose-built Quantum-AI data center in London.

JPMorgan Chase researchers will test quantum and hybrid quantum-classical computing applications in the near term through a secure enterprise environment to explore how quantum computing, AI, and high-performance classical infrastructure can work together to solve complex financial services challenges.

This environment physically integrates OQC GENESIS quantum systems with AMD-supported AI and classical computing, high-performance computing resources, and application-level tools for simulation, optimization, AI model development, and benchmarking. AMD compute technology provides the infrastructure that supports the AI ​​and traditional compute layers of the platform.

By deploying quantum hardware within a secure enterprise computing environment, the platform is designed to enable JPMorgan Chase to test hybrid quantum-classical workflows for performance, scalability, and reproducibility against operational standards used in financial services.

Partners will use the platform to conduct research on near-term quantum computing and hybrid quantum-classical computing applications, including areas such as portfolio optimization and expanded exploration around quantum machine learning, as well as develop specialized AI models to improve the performance of quantum circuits.

We also plan to explore how these quantum-enhanced AI models can accelerate the discovery of new algorithms specifically for financial use cases, and the role of classical computing towards scalable, fault-tolerant quantum algorithms.

This project marks the transition from experimental quantum access to a secure, integrated infrastructure designed for real-world enterprise workflows, including financial services.
