series of A.I.– Focused developer events supported by OpenAI and its partners in London this month, bringing together engineers, founders, and creators working on new AI-powered products.
Events include the OpenClaw developer meetup hosted by Sequoia Capital and a 24-hour hackathon hosted by startup Mozart AI with support from OpenAI and ElevenLabs. They demonstrate how AI companies are investing in developer communities to accelerate experimentation and product development around new models and APIs.
OpenAI and Sequoia host OpenClaw community meetup
Laura Modiano, OpenAI’s Startups EMEA, shared details of the OpenClaw meetup in a LinkedIn post announcing the event. Modiano explained that OpenAI is hosting the OpenClaw meetup in London in collaboration with venture capital firm Sequoia Capital. She posted: “We will be hosting an OpenClaw meetup in London with our friends at Sequoia Capital.”
He added that the event will also include discussions and audience interaction with technology and startup stakeholders. “Fireside chat with Luciana Lyxandre. Q&A with Peter Steinberger,” Modiano wrote.
The event is scheduled for March 6 in London and will include demonstrations from the Codex team, as well as discussions with developers and founders working on the OpenClaw ecosystem. According to the event listing, attendance is limited and registration is subject to approval.
Explore AI tools for music production at London hackathon
Another developer event later in the month will focus on building AI-powered music tools. Arjun S Khanna, who is building Mozart AI, outlined the effort in a LinkedIn post announcing the hackathon. Khanna said the company is organizing its first in-person developer event.
He posted: “We are hosting our first in-person hackathon.”
He described the event as a 24-hour building session aimed at exploring how artificial intelligence can shape the next generation of music creation tools. Khanna added, “24 hours. 60 builders. One mission: to build the future of music.”
The hackathon will be held in London from March 14th to March 15th and will bring together developers, producers, designers and founders working at the intersection of music and artificial intelligence.
Participants will develop new tools and prototypes in teams of up to four people during the event. According to the event description, developers will receive credits for OpenAI and Eleven Labs APIs in addition to mentorship from engineers and industry stakeholders.
Expanding developer ecosystem around AI platforms
Community events like meetups and hackathons are becoming an important part of how AI platforms build developer ecosystems.
At companies like OpenAI and Celebrities, these gatherings allow developers to experiment with APIs, test product ideas, and build early prototypes that may later evolve into startups or commercial tools.
In the EdTech and creative technology space, hackathons focused on AI applications such as music generation and automated workflows also serve as early testing environments for new learning tools and creator platforms.
The London event highlighted the increasing emergence of AI innovation from developer communities and established technology companies, with builders using new models and APIs to explore applications across education, creativity and productivity.
