Samsung's One UI 6.1 is the latest update for Samsung's Galaxy smartphones, and we're already looking forward to the release of the next version. Samsung completed One UI 6.1 by adding Galaxy AI features to One UI 6, and it looks like the company may proceed in the same manner with the release of its next version, his One UI 6.1.1 .
leaker ice universe It mentions that Samsung is working on One UI 6.1.1. This update is likely to be released alongside Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 in early July 2024.

The release of One UI 6.1.1 is in line with tradition, as Samsung typically releases xx1 releases of its software in parallel with its foldable products from July to August. In the past, this release has typically focused on foldable-specific features rather than breaking changes, but that could change this year.
ice universe It further states that the main feature highlight of One UI 6.1.1 is “Video AI”.

“Video AI” is a bit vague as a description of future features. One way to interpret this leak is to speculate that the upcoming foldable device will be able to generate videos using AI through image and text prompts, similar to OpenAI's Sora.
On the other hand, this leak could mean we could get video editing features that rely on AI, which would make more sense for smartphone use cases. It would be very useful to be able to perform generative editing, such as removing objects not only from photos but also from videos. “Video AI” could mean something completely different than either of our interpretations.
Samsung is expected to launch the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 on July 10, 2024. Note that Samsung's jump to Android 15 will happen once Android 15 is released in the stable branch later this year. The software release is called One UI 7. It remains to be seen whether existing phones will have One UI 6.1.1's video AI features or if they will move directly to One UI 7 later this year.
