Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday dismissed the Bharatiya Janata Party's claim that his video was manipulated using artificial intelligence. In a video released by Biju Janata Dal leader VK Pandian, Patnaik responded to the allegations by saying, “That's great. They should use their intelligence.”

Meanwhile, BJP's Odisha unit chief Sameer Mohanty on Tuesday questioned the authenticity of Patnaik CM's short video message and suggested that AI technology could be used to create deepfake videos. Mohanty claimed that if the video was genuine, the prime minister would have conveyed the message in public as well.

Earlier, BJP leader Baijayant Panda had questioned CM Patnaik's leadership in a post on social media platform X. “It's very sad to see the Odisha CM being manipulated like a puppet by a former bureaucrat and current 'politician' handler,” Panda wrote. “Compare the AI-generated 'video message' with his actual video of him in public. There's a world of difference. Insist on live announcements of commercials and recordings in front of you. Odisha “The people of the state have a right to know the truth,” he added.

Reacting to the BJP leader's remarks, BJD MP Susmit Patra said, “Mr. Panda has just come out of the hospital after undergoing an eye surgery. What happened to your intelligence? Is it artificial or real? I don't know what it is. I hope you get better soon.”
