NXTGEN, India's cloud and AI infrastructure provider, has launched the open source AI platform “M”, designed to turn human instructions into real action. Positioned as the answer to Indian ChatGpt, “M” runs perfectly on Indian infrastructure and invites organizations of all sizes to collaborate by providing real use cases to their users.
The company says “M” can help people with daily tasks, such as booking doctor appointments, ordering food, purchasing movie tickets, and triggering business processes.
“With “M” we are proving that open source and agent AI can withstand shoulders in frontier closed source models,” said Rajgopal, MD and CEO of NXTGEN.
Unlike closed AI systems, “M” uses a mix of the best open source models, including the Llama 4 and Deepseek 671b to select the right tool for each task. Built on NXTGEN's NVIDIA H200-equipped infrastructure, the company says it can handle large-scale usage while protecting data and ensuring speed.
Named after the first note most people often make, “M” symbolizes the starting point of intelligence and connection. By default it is multilingual and targets both Indian and global users, focusing on actions as well as conversations.
Nxtgen describes “M” as a safe and sovereign alternative that maintains data within India, supports innovation and promotes long-term technical independence. This platform is already available in beta for download on Android and iOS.
