U.S. chipmaker Nvidia and Germany-based Siemens on Tuesday announced an expansion of their strategic partnership to develop industrial artificial intelligence (AI) solutions, aimed at accelerating the integration of AI into real-world operations.
Azel News The report cited foreign media.
“Together, we aim to accelerate each other's work while developing industrial and physical AI solutions that bring AI-driven innovation to every industry and workflow,” Nvidia said in a statement.
The two companies plan to build an AI-powered industrial portfolio and collaborate on the design of next-generation AI-powered factories. Nvidia will provide AI infrastructure, simulation libraries, models, frameworks, and strategic planning, and Siemens will provide hundreds of industrial AI experts and hardware and software solutions.
“Together, we are building an industrial AI operating system to redefine the way we design, build and operate the physical world to scale AI and create tangible impact,” said Roland Busch, CEO of Siemens.
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang added that generative AI and accelerated computing are driving a “new industrial revolution” and transforming digital twins from passive simulations to active intelligence that manages real-world systems.
“Our partnership with Siemens brings together world-leading industrial software and Nvidia's full-stack AI platform to bridge the gap between ideas and reality. Industries can now simulate complex systems in software and seamlessly automate and operate them in the physical world,” Huang explained.
This collaboration could be a turning point in industrial automation. Combining AI and advanced industrial software, manufacturers will soon be able to virtually design, test, and optimize entire factories before they are built, potentially creating entirely new ways to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and innovate in sectors ranging from energy and automotive to logistics and healthcare.
