Nvidia announced that it has acquired Run:ai, an Israel-based startup specializing in AI software workload management to help operations teams optimize their AI hardware infrastructure. There have been no official announcements regarding the acquisition's finances, but reports suggest that NVIDIA may have paid around $700 million for the acquisition.
“Run:ai has been working closely with Nvidia since 2020, and we share a passion for helping our customers get the most out of their infrastructure,” said Omri, co-founder and CEO of Run:ai. says Geller.
“We are excited to join Nvidia and look forward to continuing our journey together,” Geller added.
Services provided by Run:ai
Run.ai built an open platform on Kubernetes, the orchestration layer for modern AI and cloud infrastructure.
Customer AI deployments are becoming increasingly complex, with workloads distributed across cloud, edge, and on-premises data center infrastructure. Run.ai provides services to manage and orchestrate generative AI, recommender systems, search engines, and other workloads that require advanced scheduling.
Nvidia said it will continue to offer Run:ai's products under the same business model for the time being.
“And as part of Nvidia DGX Cloud, an AI platform co-designed with leading clouds for enterprise developers, Nvidia continues to invest in its Run:ai product roadmap, delivering generative AI-optimized We offer integrated, full-stack services,” the company said. Added.
Nvidia's compute platform and Run:ai's platform continue to support a broad ecosystem of third-party solutions, providing customers with choice and flexibility. When used with Run:ai, Nvidia customers can access GPU solutions from anywhere.
