The AI platform generates accurate, source-verified answers and reduces manual effort on complex surveys.

Norm Ai, a legal and compliance AI company, announced the launch of a due diligence questionnaire (DDQ) and request for proposal (RFP) completion solution designed to help financial services and insurance institutions answer complex surveys quickly and reliably.

The platform uses AI to generate responses directly from approved company materials, ensuring response accuracy, traceability, and consistency, and significantly reducing the manual effort and rework required to complete each survey.

DDQ and RFP remain one of the most resource-intensive workflows in financial services. A single survey can involve dozens of contributors across business units, finance, compliance, and operations, and senior reviewers spend their time on formatting and minor edits rather than strategic oversight. Teams work with scattered files, inconsistent templates, and send drafts back and forth in email chains, making version control difficult. Existing tools can help teams search for past answers or generate draft text, but they don't guarantee that those answers are up-to-date, accurate, or verified against approved sources.

Norm Ai addresses this problem by centralizing your organization's knowledge and using AI to derive answers directly from it. For each question, the system identifies relevant approved sources, generates an answer based on their content, and tracks edits and approvals from draft to final submission.

“Using AI in high-stakes workflows only works if the team can trust the output,” said John Ney, founder and CEO of Norm Ai. “Norm is built around human judgment, grounding answers in approved sources, solid standards, and reviewer decisions, ensuring that judgment is applied consistently.”

The core features of the platform are:

  • Centralized answer bank: All accepted answers are stored in a controlled, versioned repository with ownership, expiration dates, and policy tags, turning your organization's knowledge into a trusted source of truth.
  • Question extraction and intent recognition: The AI agent interprets the meaning and nuances of each question, first extracting the most relevant answers from the answer bank, then prioritizing supporting material based on context and confidence.
  • Evidence-based drafting: If no direct match exists in the answer bank, the agent generates an answer based on the approved data, with citations and clear reasons on every line.
  • Reusable answer: Linking new surveys to previous approved versions automatically carries over validated responses and substantiation, reducing rework and ensuring consistency across cycles.
  • Continuous learning: Reviewer feedback will grow over time, increasing accuracy and strengthening institutional precedent, allowing for faster and more consistent responses across all future surveys.
  • flexible export: Completed surveys can be exported back to their original format in Word or Excel with one click, each with citations and version history.
  • Compliance review: Norm reviews DDQ and RFP submissions for compliance and provides a unified platform for all regulated content.

“These surveys are repeatable in nature, so they lend themselves well to AI,” Ney says. “Norm provides teams with trusted answers and accelerates every cycle.”
