Netbox Labs raises $35 million to help AI drive the infrastructure boom. Read that deck.

AI For Business

Netbox Labs, an infrastructure management startup, raised $35 million in Series B funding in July, led by NGP Capital. I shared my pitch deck with Business Insider.

New York City-based Netbox Labs was co-founded in 2023 by CEO Kris Beevers as a commercial steward for the 10-year-old Netbox, an open source network and infrastructure platform used by tens of thousands of companies around the world.

Netbox Labs offers five products built on open source software with advanced features to make it easier to operate, including additional security and support, automation tools, and AI assistants.

Earn money by charging a subscription based on the tools you use and the size of the client's infrastructure.

Sorenson Capital and Headline joined the round, as well as existing investors Flybridge Capital, Mango Capital, Salesforce Ventures, Two Sigma Ventures and IBM. The company previously raised $20 million in Series A funding.

AI is increasing demand for infrastructure services, with Netbox Labs revenues coming from single-digit millions, Beevers said. Reinvest “big chunks” in open source tools.

The company has around 200 customers, including AI Data Center Giant CoreWeave. These customers will help you manage the data center configuration and design future facilities.

It also works with non-IA-focused companies, whose infrastructure has become more complex and dynamic amid the continuous digitalization of recent years, Beevers said.

This includes the national transport division (management departments of toll plazas, speed cameras, etc.), Arm, Cisco, Constant Contact, JP Morgan, Kaiser Permanente and Riot Games.

This investment will be used for employment across engineering and sales. Beavers said the company will have more than 100 employees this year.

Beevers previously served as co-founder and CEO of NS1. NS1 spun Netbox Labs in 2023 after selling other parts of its business to IBM. Netbox creator Jeremy Stretch also acts as a co-founder of Netbox Labs.
