NEC collaborated with AI and the beer craftsmen of Kyodo Shoji Co., Ltd.’s Coedo Brewery to develop the craft beer “Life Brew Craft.” NEC’s core AI technology “NEC cotori” analyzes and incorporates information on the lifestyles and values of multiple generations of modern Japanese people. Furthermore, Agentic AI, which is based on NEC cotomi, created new recipe suggestions through dialogue with the brewer by referring to the vast amount of recipe information of approximately 1.4 million characters.

NEC’s Negotiation AI: Automate delivery date adjustment and improve efficiency

NEC’s unique AI technology automates the negotiation and coordination process that was previously performed by humans. It automatically derives the necessary and desirable conditions for negotiation and proposes mutually acceptable optimal conditions. NEC aims to utilize this technology to automate delivery dates and quantity adjustments when procuring parts from suppliers. In a demonstration experiment applied to procurement operations within the NEC Group, it was confirmed that operational efficiency was significantly improved.
