The National University of Singapore (NUS) is recruiting for a postdoctoral researcher position to work closely with Dr. Vincent Tan at the intersection of information theory, statistical signal processing and machine learning.

Some sample topics are:

  • Shannon theory.
  • A multi-armed thief.
  • Matrix factorization and dictionary learning.
  • graphical model

Each position is expected to have a tenure of one to two years. Please contact us for the start date. Candidates are expected to have a PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, or applied mathematics, and a strong publication record in information theory, signal processing, or machine learning.

Candidates will work closely with Dr. Vincent Tang to utilize their postdoctoral period to build a strong research profile that will enable them to find excellent faculty positions after their postdoctoral period.

Salaries are highly competitive and commensurate with candidates’ abilities, potential and performance.

Qualification
