National University Hospital tests South Korea's Alzheimer's disease prediction AI
Singapore's National University Hospital is collaborating with South Korean medical AI company Heuron to test the latter's AI solution for Alzheimer's disease screening and prediction.
Heuron offered two solutions: Heuron AD, which provides quantitative analysis of brain atrophy, and Heuron Brain PET, which provides fast and accurate PET tracer quantification.
Their year-long study will use approximately 700 brain MRI images and 230 brain PET scans taken from healthy patients, people with mild cognitive impairment, and patients with Alzheimer's disease at NUH.
IHH Healthcare provides sleep AI solutions to clinics and hospitals
IHH Healthcare, Asia's largest private healthcare group, has made available an AI-powered wearable ring and software to diagnose sleep apnea and other sleep disorders. across a global network of clinics and hospitals.
The company recently invested in Hong Kong-based health technology company Belun, which received the first US FDA approval for its AI-powered platform for sleep apnea diagnosis.
Patients can take BernRing as a sleep test at home, IHH said in a media release. The ring collects data and compiles it into clinical reports for doctors to help manage your health.
IHH is also considering further collaboration with Belun to address other health conditions related to sleep disorders.
Indian heart hospital moves to connected beds
India's BM Birla Heart Hospital has introduced continuous remote patient monitoring within its wards as part of a new digital initiative.
The company partnered with Dozee on an enhanced heart care program. This includes the deployment of partner medical equipment. AI-powered connected bed technology. This technology platform allows staff to remotely monitor important patient parameters such as heart rate, blood pressure, and ECG.
