Milestone is back with their annual bike racing sim. The basics are similar to MotoGP 2022, but the 2023 version includes many enhancements and new features. These include AI-assisted driving, new tracks, events, and more.
These new controls and additions make the game a lot better than its predecessor, but the core mechanics still have a steep learning curve. However, with an advanced tutorial and plenty of practice races, series veterans and new players alike will have a solid racing experience.

Learning MotoGP 23 made easy thanks to AI
MotoGP 23 was my first attempt at a motorcycle racing simulation and although I was a bit intimidated at first, I eventually started to get the hang of the controls and now I really like it. Much credit goes to the new Neural Aid System. This new system is essentially advanced AI support to assist with acceleration, braking and handling.
For a beginner like me, this feature is great because it can learn when to slow down your bike for a sharp turn or how much you need to slow down to avoid falling. I found it very helpful. Visibility can be quite embarrassing during a race.

Apart from that, the training section includes ample tutorials and the new MotoGP Academy to help you become a better racer. Previous versions of the game also had markings on the road, but MotoGP’s new AI system adds even more value to the new virtual rider. Otherwise, pretty much everything remains similar to the previous one.
He starts his debut season as a Moto3 rider with a simpler bike. As you climb up the ranks and gain more experience, you’ll need to master mechanics to ride more complex bikes. Once you’re comfortable with the bike, you can advance your driver status from Rookie to Extreme.

With that said, let’s move on to some of the game’s new additions that I found quite unique.
milestoneThe Buddha International Circuit is one of the new additions to MotoGP 23.
New career mode and dynamic weather
Two features that worked well in MotoGP 23 are the new career mode and the dynamic weather system. As I mentioned earlier, at first he started out as a Moto3 rider and eventually became known as the popular Grand Prix his racer. Career mode is very close to real life, and there will be several turning points and rivalries along the way.

Decision-making needs to be top-notch, as long as you’re already performing well to get the attention of a better league. And I feel that this dynamic weather is the most attractive. Imagine racing at Silverstone, home of the British Motorcycle Grand Prix. There, the dry track can turn into wet mayhem at any point in the race.

Scenarios like these put your skills, perseverance and adaptability to the ultimate test. And personally, I found it to be a very exhilarating experience. This dynamic weather system challenges you to race against unpredictable and immersive weather. However, not all aspects of the game are great.

Customization could have been better
We expected rider customization in MotoGP 23 to be a bit more powerful, but it wasn’t. I wish I could custom create his character from scratch instead of choosing from several pre-made faces.
However, when it comes to choosing your riding style, gear and bike livery, you have plenty of options. If you want to take things a step further, you also have the option to download additional designs online.

overall riding experience
The new AI system is a boon for rookie riders like me, but rival riders can get a little erratic at times. What I noticed during the first laps was that riders were more rigid and didn’t create enough space to gain an advantage. This helps build interest in fighting harder and crossing the finish line as the first rider.
In a few other instances, we also had horrific crashes due to AI rivals. Less frequently, there are depictions of the darker side of his MotoGP racer’s life when things go wrong. We look forward to seeing how this new AI innovation from Milestone improves on future MotoGP games.

Verdict 4/5
If you’re a new virtual biker and think MotoGP 23 is just another casual racing sim, you’re wrong. The same is true for car racing enthusiasts who want to delve deeper into virtual bike racing in MotoGP 23.
Spend enough time learning how it works and you’ll be rewarded with great rewards. This is especially true with the integration of new driver assistance features, making learning the game much easier than was possible with previous titles.
