MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” spent time Wednesday talking about the new trend of AI companies and Silicon Valley billionaires and billionaires becoming major contributors to political activity, with host Joe Scarborough warning that they are “buying elections.”
“A quick look at who contributed last night. [political] race. “There are these outside groups, and there are tech bros who are clearly pushing the far right, MAGA to the right, on hot-button issues right now. Andreessen Horowitz is the biggest contributor in American politics right now, and they’re putting all their money into MAGA candidates right now,” Scarborough explained.
“That money is going to be thrown around a lot,” Scarborough warned. The “Morning Joe” host specifically pointed to the current U.S. Senate race in Alabama.
“Same thing [happened] In last night’s Alabama Senate primary [between] Three were unknowns,” Scarborough said. This is the guy who got his crypto friends to spend millions of dollars on a race in Alabama that no one knew anything about. ”

Scarborough said crypto billionaires and AI investors are not just following trends set by their fellow billionaires and billionaires, they are also building an entirely new political system beneath the surface of American politics.
“This is a new political infrastructure,” Scarborough said. “AI, the tech bros, the tech monopolies, the crypto tycoons are coming in and buying elections. And they did it quietly last night.”
Meanwhile, “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski briefly criticized President Trump for endorsing Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton, despite what “Morning Joe” panelist David Drucker called Paxton’s “10-point set of scandals.” Brzezinski noted that American presidents always have a “purpose” behind their endorsements, before addressing Trump’s comments about Paxton.
Brzezinski added, “President Trump announced that Paxton was a ‘true MAGA warrior’ and also posted why he didn’t support him.” [Paxton Republican opponent John] Cornyn. “He didn’t support me during a difficult time.” I get it. “
