
The Open University of Kenya (OUK) and US-based artificial intelligence company MindHYVE.ai, Inc. have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a strategic partnership focused on enabling AI-powered learning and driving academic innovation.
The collaboration explores integrating MindHYVE.ai’s proprietary agent-based artificial intelligence system, ArthurAI™, into selected areas of OUK’s digital learning ecosystem. The initiative is designed to support personalized learning, teacher empowerment, data-driven curriculum innovation, and upskilling in partnership with the workforce, positioning OUK as a leader in next-generation digital education across Africa.
Under this MoU, the parties will jointly explore the implementation of ArthurAI as a virtual academic enabler to support learners and educators through adaptive, real-time learning assistance. The collaboration will also include curriculum co-design, impact assessment, localization in line with Kenyan education policy and compliance with the Kenya Data Protection Act (2019).
