Meta VP: AI is the best thing in advertising – if we use it correctly

AI For Business

The global economy is undergoing a major transformation by dominating AI (AI), one topic that governs the discussions between executive suites and executive offices. AI is no longer a distant concept. It is fundamentally changing how businesses innovate, engage with customers and protect their final lines. For today's leaders, this means approaching every important business decision with a mindset that takes into account how AI can provide a competitive advantage.

The advertising industry I worked for over 20 years is a compelling epitome of this broader change, and my recent experience with Cannes Lions highlighted it. All marketers and brands are actively exploring ways to partner and invest in AI in the right way, debating the potential for industry transformation.

Therefore, it is not surprising that over 90% of companies intend to invest in generative AI tools over the next three years. I have advised businesses in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and countless industries, so when I look at it, I recognize a true inflection point. This is that. AI is already radically changing the better business.

Leveling the stadium, prompting one at a time

Our own investment in AI over the past decade has shifted from theoretical research to actual implementation, bringing concrete results to businesses. When used correctly, AI is essential to maximize campaign performance, personalize customer engagement, and ultimately drive growth no matter the size of the company.

Especially for small businesses, access to the same powerful tools can help you create optimized, data-rich campaigns dedicated to the world's largest brands. It levelles the arena and allows great ideas to win, whether the budget is large or small.

Companies are focused on building and implementing AI products that ignite performance and achieve less. We hope to promote our modern range of hijabs and accessories using Istanbul-based startup FreshScarfs. Using AI has resulted in a surge in the efficiency of AD campaigns, allowing two female entrepreneurs to better manage their time and simplify complex optimization decisions.

Unlocking creativity and revolution in engagement

The impact goes beyond performance metrics and productivity improvements. It's about unleashing creativity. For a long time, creative development has been a bottleneck that limits our ability to effectively expand our campaigns. AI tools are changing that.

Already, three in 10 advertisers have used Gen AI Creative Tools to check out the tedious tasks, such as automatically adjusting images, copies and layouts for different ad placements. This frees up invaluable human time, shaping creative ideas and making strategic decisions about where your audience is most likely to be involved. In the case of Adquadrant, the integration of AI branding tools significantly increased the creative power output by enabling advertising experiments quickly and allowing teams to deliver consistently impactful campaigns.

And it's not just a scaling campaign where businesses can enjoy rewards. The possibilities of AI are nowhere near as clear as the way businesses can better attract customers. The ability to set up an AI chatbot that represents the spirit and tone of a company is a game changer, providing timely and informative responses to customer queries. In the long run, we believe that every business around the world will rely on AI to help customers discover and buy products.

Preparation for today's tomorrow

The bedrock of business is always rooted in strategy, efficiency, originality and storytelling. The future is not about choosing human originality and mechanical intelligence. It's about their powerful combination.

This brings me to the myth that I am most passionate about arrests. The idea is that AI will replace marketers. You cannot go far from the truth. AI is not here to do their job. Here we are to expand your experiments, surface practical insights, and enhance them with super intelligence that unleashes human creativity.

We are definitely at a turning point where leaders can train AI systems, but it really succeeds just because they have the human value and intelligence as the foundation on which AI is built.

The most successful businesses are those who learn to work with AI, and use AI as a powerful tool to amplify their vision, strengthen their workforce, and run with relentless efficiency. Also, by removing friction from manual tasks and streamlining execution, AI can regain the time that people are their most valuable asset.

It's time to reinvest in groundbreaking ideas. It can unlock strategic thinking and greatly increase productivity. And it's time for human-centered and innovation to truly flourish.
