Aug. 15 (Reuters) – Meta is planning a fourth overhaul of its artificial intelligence efforts in six months, information reported Friday cites three people familiar with the issue.
The company is expected to split its new AI unit, Superintelligence Labs, into four groups. It stands for “TBD Lab,” a new one. Product team including Meta AI Assistant. Infrastructure team. The Basic AI Research (FAIR) lab also focused on long-term research, the report said it cited the two.
Meta did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Reuters was unable to independently verify the report.

The social media giant tapped US bond giant Pimco and alternative asset manager Blue Owl Capital to lead $29 billion in funding for the expansion of data centers in rural Louisiana, Reuters reported earlier this month.
In July, Zuckerberg said Meta would spend hundreds of millions of dollars to build several large AI data centers.
The company raised $2 billion, forecasting the lowest annual capital expenditure, up from $660 billion to the $72 billion range last month.
Increased costs to build data center infrastructure and employee compensation costs — Meta poachs researchers with mega salaries, so it will surpass its 2026 cost growth rate in 2025, the company said.
