Meta has launched a new AI-powered video editing feature that allows users to convert short videos using pre-configured creative styles. The tool is now available through the Meta AI mobile app, the Meta.ai website, and the dedicated editing app.

This feature is designed to make video editing more accessible and visually appealing, especially for users who want to create shareable clips for platforms such as Facebook and Instagram.
Meta says the tool focuses on editing the first 10 seconds of the video. This is a sweet spot to attract attention in the fast-paced digital world. Instead of manually trimming or adding effects, users can simply choose from over 50 built-in AI prompts that apply artistic filters and imaginative transformations to the clip.
From anime-style visuals and graphic novel overlays to dreamy landscapes and surreal science fiction aesthetics, the range of styles is diverse and tailored to social sharing.
Meta offers free tools for limited time, giving creators and casual users the opportunity to explore AI-generated editing without the need for technical background. Once edited, the video can be shared directly to Facebook or Instagram, or featured on Discover Feed within Meta's AI platform.
Early reviews from the editors suggest that the results can be amazing and surprising. In one test, a brief video of a dog walking person was reimagined as a vibrant desert landscape with purple cacti and sparkling effects. Another user transformed his video into an animated scene of a vampire covered in neon, with surreal lighting and dramatic movements.

Meta plans to expand the functionality of the tool later this year, including the highly anticipated option to generate edits using a fully custom text prompt. This upgrade allows users to explain every scene or style they want, giving them even more creative control.
