Meta last year introduced its Gen AI-powered chatbot, Meta AI, for Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and WhatsApp. The company initially launched the chatbot in the U.S. Earlier this year, it expanded the chatbot to 13 countries and launched it in India last month.
Now, Meta is again expanding the availability of Meta AI, along with adding support for more languages and features.
Meta AI now available in seven more countries
Meta announced the launch of Meta AI in Argentina, Cameroon, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico and Peru, bringing the total number of countries Meta's virtual assistants to 22. Meta also added support for four more languages for its chatbot: French, German, Hindi, Hindi Roman, Italian, Portuguese and Spanish.
You can now ask Meta AI to create an image of you in any way you like
Meta has also added four new features to Meta AI: First, you can now ask Meta AI to imagine yourself as something, and the chatbot will create an image based on the prompt. For example, if you say, “Imagine me as an astronaut,” the virtual assistant will create an image of you looking like an astronaut with a planet in the background.
Meta's chatbot can now edit the images it generates
You can then ask Meta AI to create an image and once it has generated one, you can ask it to edit the image to fit your specific requirements. For example, you can type “Imagine a cat snorkeling in a fishbowl” and when the chatbot shows you the image, you can say “Change the cat to a corgi” and Meta will generate a different image based on your prompt.
Meta AI is now easily accessible
Third, Facebook, Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp now give you direct access to Meta AI within the window where you create your story, post or status, making it easy to post an image created by the chatbot.
Meta's virtual assistant can now help you with math and coding
Fourth, Meta AI is now able to handle “more complex questions, especially those related to math and coding,” thanks to Llama 405B.

Meta AI will be available soon on Meta Quest
Next month, Meta will make Meta AI available in experimental mode on Meta Quest in the US and Canada, allowing you to do even more with the VR headset.
