At COMPUTEX 2024 in Taiwan, Mediatek announced it has joined Arm Total Design, a fast-growing ecosystem aimed at accelerating and simplifying the development of products based on Arm Neoverse Compute Subsystems (CSS). Arm Neoverse CSS is designed to meet the performance and efficiency needs of AI applications in data centers, infrastructure systems, communications and more.

“By working with Arm, we are enabling our customers' designs to address the most challenging workloads for AI applications and maximize performance per watt,” said Vince Hu, corporate vice president at MediaTek. “Leveraging our expertise in hybrid computing, AI, SerDes and chiplets, we will work closely with Arm as we expand deployments into the data center while evolving packaging technologies to accelerate AI innovation from the edge to the cloud.”

By leveraging Neoverse CSS, a proven, validated and performance-optimized subsystem, MediaTek's industry-leading SoC integration design capabilities can deliver differentiated solutions and accelerate time to market. Leveraging Neoverse CSS, MediaTek can deliver SoCs optimized for specific application needs to address the complex computing requirements of AI.

With the Mobile Dimensity series, MediaTek applies its best-in-class low-power architectural design to Arm CPUs to drive the next level of flagship compute, graphics and AI performance while delivering industry-leading efficiency. Additionally, MediaTek is the leading Wi-Fi supplier across broadband, retail routers, consumer electronics and gaming. The partnership also extends to other edge applications including automotive, Chromebooks and IoT devices used in smart home, enterprise and industrial environments.
