Savings experts said people would lose money and “ruin their lives” and called on authorities to stop “big tech companies” from releasing dangerous fakes.
Lewis responded to someone who highlighted the scam on Twitter, writing, “Warning. This is a scam by criminals trying to steal your money. Please share.”
He added, “This is terrifying. This is the first deepfake video scam I’ve appeared in. Governments and regulators are taking action to stop big tech companies from publishing such dangerous fake videos.” people will lose money and go bankrupt,” he added. It is alive. ”

The video appears to show Lewis’ AI mockup backing an investment plan run by Twitter owner and Tesla CEO Elon Musk.
A computer-generated Lewis said, “Elon Musk has announced a project that has already invested more than $3 billion.
“Mr Musk’s new project offers great investment opportunities for the British public. No project has ever offered such opportunities to UK residents.”
Lewis’ face is frequently used in online advertising by scammers, and consumer advocates have long campaigned for the tech giant to take action.
