Luma AI, the American artificial intelligence company known for its flagship generative video and imaging product Dream Machine, has announced plans to open its first international office in London.
Luma AI expects to create 200 roles across research, engineering, partnerships and strategic development in London in 2026.

Luma is building “world models,” a class of AI models that can learn from video, audio, and images in addition to text.
Amit Jain, CEO and co-founder of Luma AI, said: “With this Series C funding and the upcoming buildout of our global computing infrastructure, we have the capital and capabilities to bring world-class AI to creatives everywhere.” “Launching across EMEA is the next logical step in putting this power directly into the hands of storytellers, agencies, and brands around the world.”
Day added, “Luma AI is the world leader in developing multimodal artificial generated intelligence (AGI) for the creative industries. Putting that intelligence into the hands of creative professionals around the world – marketers, gamers, movie studios, etc. – will transform the entire creative process.”
John Maxwell Hobbs recently spoke with leading researcher Professor Ravi Ramamoorthi to explore how Neural Radiance Fields (NeRF) can replace the traditional technological infrastructure on which broadcasting and film are built. During the discussion, Ramamoorthi highlighted that apps like Luma AI are already making the capture process more convenient by allowing NeRF models to be created on everyday devices such as smartphones.
