Lion Beer Maker Selects TCS to Drive AI Transformation and Business Growth

Australia-based alcoholic beverage brand Lion has selected Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to spearhead its artificial intelligence (AI)-driven business transformation and growth, the Indian IT services major told exchanges on Thursday.

Under the partnership, TCS will bring service delivery automation and a scalable operating model to Lion to help alcobev migrate from legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure, the filing said. He will also lead the Sydney-based company’s application development and strengthen its cybersecurity protocols.

“By leveraging cutting-edge technologies such as AI and cloud, along with TCS’ comprehensive CPG platform, we will accelerate innovation and deliver superior experiences for both customers and consumers,” said Krishnan Ramanujam, President, Consumer Business Group, TCS.

TCS, India’s largest software exporter, has been based in Australia for over 35 years and serves as the digital partner for most of the region’s top 10 listed companies. The company operates from five locations across the country.

India’s IT standard-bearer reported total contract commitments for the quarter ended September 2025 at $10 billion. The Asia-Pacific region, which includes Lion’s core markets Australia and New Zealand, accounted for 8.3% of TCS’s total business in the period. Consumer business accounted for 15.3% of revenue growth in the quarter.

TCS reported second quarter net profit of Rs 12,075 crore, an improvement of 1.4 per cent from Rs 11,990 crore in the year-ago period. Operating revenue stood at Rs 65,799 crore, up 2.4% from Rs 64,259 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

The company’s shares were trading 0.3 per cent lower at Rs 3,122.60 per share on the NSE and 0.42 per cent higher on the Nifty 50 as of 12:16 pm on Thursday.
