Next week, the University Library System will host two hybrid AI workshops open to all faculty, staff, and students.
Both workshops will be held in the Hillman Library’s K. Leroy Irvis Reading Room and are available for viewing online.
Navigate Pitt’s AI resources for research and learning: Jan. 21 from 4-5 p.m. In this workshop, participants will learn about all the AI tools available to the Pitt community and their strengths in research and learning. This workshop will focus on identifying appropriate AI tools, explaining their strengths and weaknesses for your specific learning needs, and developing a plan to use the tools effectively. Creating a Personal Research and Learning Assistant: Creating Effective Prompts: January 22, 4-5pm AI tools can be used by anyone, but maximizing their potential for personalized learning requires some skill and forethought. If you are using Claude or Gemini to support your research or learning and are interested in getting better results faster, this workshop is for you. Attend this session to generate ideas about topics of interest and learn strategies for creating effective prompts that increase your chances of generating useful responses.
