Southwest Christian School hosts groundbreaking AI Leadership Summit for Christian Schools in Fort Worth, Texas
Southwest Christian School (SCS) is leading the accusation in shaping the future of AI in Christian education at the Christian School AI Leadership Summit (sail) to be held June 19-20. Designed for school leaders, this dynamic two-day event explores thoughtful ways to use artificial intelligence in Christian education.
As one of the first schools to develop a comprehensive guidebook for staff, SCS is excited to share groundbreaking work. The school has also launched educational activities across the broad community, including teachers, staff, students and families.
“The disruption in the educational environment must be addressed from both an academic and spiritual perspective,” says Derek Reinhold, dean of innovation and learning at SCS. “AI is such a mess. Outsourced formations to technical tools, risking losing more than academic growth. It compromises mental development.”
Cholls across Texas will attend schools from nearby partners like Liberty Christian School in Argyle and Legacy Christian Academy in Frisco to schools in Houston and Austin. The summit will feature a lineup of respected experts, including Rick Holbeck (eds. Grand Canyon University, Phoenix), Dr. Shawn Riley (Long Island, Long Island), Dr. Josh Thomason, MBA, CPA, and Dr. Derek Wilson (Essos School/Trekkai, Atlanta). Participants can expect to leave together:
A Christ-centric strategy to build missions and visions around AI
●Classroom applications that promote critical thinking
● A communication framework to attract students, staff and parents with an attractive and confident touch
The summit is designed to provide Christian school leaders with tools to engage in AI through many faiths, integrity and innovation.
