Kagawa Prefecture and local officials from various cities and towns have participated in a seminar to learn the basics of AI technology, including chatbot GPT, in order to utilize it in their future work. About 160 employees from Kagawa Prefecture, 5 cities, and 4 towns attended the seminar.
The lecturer for the seminar was Professor Yutaka Matsuo, an AI expert and a native of Sakaide City, who works at the University of Tokyo’s Graduate School.
While some municipalities in Kagawa Prefecture have been considering using “generative AI” in their operations, full-scale implementation has not yet been achieved.
The participants learned about the basics and principles of AI, specifically deep learning, which has the potential to improve work efficiency and enhance services.
According to Asami Fujisawa, the Chief of the Digital Strategy Division at Kagawa Prefecture, they believe that AI can be utilized extensively within the prefectural government and administrative offices. The participants expressed their desire to learn more about the theory and practical aspects of AI.
Kagawa Prefecture is currently soliciting ideas from its employees on how to effectively incorporate generative AI into their future work.
