President Donald Trump says several Hollywood stars have been falsely diagnosed with “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
Coincidentally, nearly all of the celebrities who criticize President Trump in recent AI videos he posted on social media are also outspoken in their criticism of President Trump. And it is well known that Mr. Trump can be very flippant towards people who do not share his political views.
An AI video (below) shared on Wednesday night showed the president dressed as “Dr. Trump” sharing a “treatment plan” for a “patient” suffering from TDS. The video, which resembles a pharmaceutical ad, played AI-generated clips of fake testimonials from Julia Roberts, Robert De Niro, Rosie O’Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, John Leguizamo and Edward Norton.
“I’ve been suffering for over 10 years, but after listening to Dr. Trump, I’m starting to see some results,” Fake O’Donnell said. Created by AI, Goldberg added, “I really thought I was a lost cause. This was going to affect me for the rest of my life. But after using the treatment plan, I saw a difference.”
De Niro’s AI avatar said he “couldn’t eat, he couldn’t sleep, he was always angry. He made everyone around him miserable,” while fake Roberts claimed, “I feel like I’ve aged 20 years in the last two years. I was very worried. I was starting to really worry about my future.”
At the end of the video, Trump detailed a “simple” treatment plan for hypothetical TDS. “Turn off the fake news, say a prayer, and when you feel anxious, drink a Diet Coke like I did, and you will see a noticeable change in your life,” he said.
hollywood reporter has reached out to representatives for Roberts, De Niro, O’Donnell, Goldberg, Leguizamo and Norton for comment.
Presidents have long posted AI-generated images and videos on their social media, many of which have been heavily criticized. Earlier this year, President Trump was criticized for posting an AI video on Truth Social that depicted former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as monkeys, which was later deleted.
This is also not the first time Trump has accused critics of suffering from the TDS he created. Following the death of director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, the president slammed the couple’s progressive politics. He said their deaths were “reportedly caused by inflicting anger on others as they suffered from a severe, indomitable, and incurable illness from the mind-numbing illness known as Trump Derangement Syndrome (also known as TDS).”
