Japanese officials have released a video generated by AI that is causing a violent eruption of Mt. Fuji to raise awareness of potential disasters.
The video was released to mark the day of volcanic disaster preparation, warning that eruptions could attack “at any time without warning.”
It depicts feathers of smoke swirling from the volcano before Ash falls into central Tokyo, about 60 miles away.
The city then becomes covered in ashes within hours of the eruption, stopping transport, destroying food and power sources, causing long-term breathing problems.
“We need to arm our facts and prepare ourselves for disasters in our daily lives.”
The video also shows the family raising canned pantry and first aid kits.
The Tokyo city government said there are currently no indications that Fuji will erupt.
“The simulation is designed to provide residents with accurate knowledge and preparation strategies that can be done in emergencies.”
