Is AI a “game changer” for business leaders or is it something that they should approach carefully? Concerns about the use of artificial intelligence in daily work were only a small part of the issues raised by Louth Businesswomen, who attended a seminar in Dundalk.
“AI On Your Terms” was interactive, led by marketing strategist and consultant Tamara Howard. Tamara Howard gave us a practical introduction to how artificial intelligence can be used to increase the productivity and impact on marketing in everyday business.
Rather than presenting AI as a technology exclusively for distant experts, it has been reconstructed as “a toolkit for navigators – something business owners can use with confidence.”
The event focused on a variety of topics, including: Get useful results to write stronger and clearer prompts. How to reuse content across platforms to save time; and improve your research, productivity and marketing campaigns with AI tools.
It also emphasizes the importance of applying “simple guardrails on privacy, accuracy and audio tone.”
The workshop was a mix of live demonstrations and practical exercises, giving participants the opportunity to try out the tools directly from their mobile phones.
Tamara outlined the expected shifts over the next 12-18 months, including more integrated AI in everyday apps, agent AI systems that can perform tasks with lighter monitoring, and the increasing importance of data accuracy and governance.
Nicola Connolly Byrne, president of Network Ireland, said: “Our members are interested in AI, but are cautious. The event gave us clearness, confidence and a set of practical tools that can be used right away.
