India is in the highest demand globally worldwide for 17.4% of the profile's job openings globally, depending on the global status of Skyhive by Cornerstone's Skills Economy Report.
The country is also ranked one in demand for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) skills, taking into account 4.1% recruitment, taking into account AI/ML skills. “The share of data analytics job posts has increased by 52% over the past five years, highlighting the important role data plays in shaping business strategies,” Cornerstone said in the report.
“India is leading at 17.4% of job openings looking for data analytics skills, with the US following with 8.8%, positioning these countries as the global hub for data analytics expertise,” he added. Other markets in high demand for data analytics skills include the UK (7.5%), New Zealand (6.7%) and Australia (6.4%).
In the case of AI/mL, the share of the employment list has increased globally by 65% since 2019, with India (4.1%), Germany (2.5%) and Japan (2.2%) leading the country's demand charts. The adoption of AI/ML is on the rise worldwide, and the industry is using it to automate daily tasks and enhance decision-making.
When it comes to Genai skills, India ranks second only in terms of demand after Germany, and the report says that Genai adoption is expanding beyond traditional tech giants.
According to Cornerstone, demand for augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) skills has shown the sharpest growth in the last five years, with the specialty job listings increasing by 154% since 2019.
“This expansion reflects strategic change as the industry explores AR/VR applications that extend beyond entertainment and expand to training simulation, remote collaboration and customer experience.”
The increase suggests that organizations are beginning to recognize the long-term potential of AR/VR to transform traditional workflows and create new business opportunities worldwide.
However, India is far behind when it comes to demand for flexible or remote working talent. This number is just 6.3% compared to 22.8% of demand for flexible and remote workers in Australia and 21% in Germany in India.
India is well-cared for job distribution to promote employee experience in the US at 3.7 at 1.3% seconds, but is sixth behind countries like Australia, New Zealand, the US, UK and Germany.
