India and Kazakhstan take AI cooperation to strategic level

Held under the theme of “Sarvajan Hitaya, Sarvajan Skaya – Welfare to All, Happiness to All” The summit is expected to bring together heads of state, government, and key representatives from the global AI ecosystem to discuss ethical, inclusive, and human-centered technology development.

According to the embassy, ​​Kazakhstan continues to introduce artificial intelligence into higher education curricula and strengthen its innovation ecosystem, including initiatives such as the Alem AI platform. India’s expanding AI policy framework, research capabilities and dynamic innovation sector complement Kazakhstan’s efforts.

Bilateral cooperation is already developing under the India Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) program, which provides more than 100 training slots annually to Kazakh experts in priority areas such as artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

Medical coordination also forms part of the partnership. India provided MISSO robotic surgery system to Kazakhstan and facilitated training of local medical professionals conducted by Indian experts.

In conjunction with the upcoming summit, talks between Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Kazakh Prime Minister Orzhaz Bektenov are expected to highlight the strategic importance the two countries place on cooperation in emerging technologies.

Earlier, Kazinform News Agency reported that India has been ranked as one of the world’s first AI adopters with the youngest technology talent.
