Phenom announced that its expanded AI & Automation Learning Lab will return at IAMPHENOM 2026, introducing a new Agent Center dedicated to running agent AI. The lab will feature more than 75 HR use cases across professions and industries on the exhibit floor at IAMPHENOM, March 10-12 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.
Building on the hands-on learning experience first introduced at last year’s conference, the 2026 edition of the lab reflects how AI and automation are rapidly reshaping human resources operations, and how far most organizations still have to go. According to Phenom’s inaugural press conference The State of AI and Automation in HR: 2026 Benchmark Report83% of organizations indicate low maturity of AI and automation in HR, and 30% of HR professionals report limited knowledge of how to apply AI to talent acquisition and management.
The AI & Automation Learning Lab provides immersive, station-by-station experiences across industries including healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, retail, and hospitality. The new Agent Center focuses on agent AI capabilities and shows how AI agents work with talent acquisition and management teams to automate multi-step workflows, surface intelligence, and work on behalf of recruiters, HR business partners, and hiring managers without sacrificing the most important human judgment. IAMPHENOM attendees will explore AI and automation technologies and their impact across the talent lifecycle.
NEW: Dedicated agent center for Agentic AI at Work
Agent Center shows how talent teams can best work with agents to orchestrate recruiting workflows, automate busy tasks, and deliver highly personalized experiences. Everything is governed by industry-specific ontologies and compliance guardrails. Featured agents include:
- Voice screening agent: Live phone and desktop interviews are conducted 24/7, giving recruiters the flexibility to screen candidates without making phone calls. Agents tailor conversations based on role type and present the best candidates to hiring teams.
- Candidate fraud detection agents: Detect identity mismatches, AI-generated interview responses, and fraudster activity, giving recruiters explainable insights and human controls to weed out fraudulent candidates with confidence.
- Ingestible: Conduct interview meetings with hiring managers on your behalf to automatically narrow down openings, understand emerging requirements, and write stronger job descriptions.
- Interview agent: Massively expand recruiter capabilities by introducing customized AI avatar interviews that evaluate candidates against job-specific benchmarks, replacing manual live interviews with consistent, configurable assessments across all job roles.
- Sourcing agent: Talent Find, segment, and develop candidates at scale across your CRM and external channels. This allows you to tailor your outreach based on role type and talent profile, replacing manual talent sourcing with continuous pipeline building.

New feature: AI and Automation Maturity Center Levels
A dedicated AI & Automation Maturity Center helps HR and TA leaders understand exactly where they are and where they need to go next. Built on Phenom’s proprietary AI and automation maturity model, the center measures adoption across two dimensions: intelligence from no intelligence (Level 0) to fully integrated (Level 5). Automation ranges from no automation (level 0) to fully integrated automation (level 5). Attendees will receive expert guidance on the current level of AI and automation maturity across talent acquisition and talent management, allowing them to identify gaps and prioritize next steps towards a future-ready operating model.
“Data reveals that most organizations are still in the early stages of implementing AI into HR, and those who are educated and act intentionally have a significant advantage,” said Jonathan Dale, vice president and general manager of global marketing at Phenom. “With our expanded Learning Lab and new Agent Center, we now have real-world solutions at our fingertips and can now see exactly what is possible.”
