Hyundai Motor Group introduces AI, robotics and mobility innovations at 2025 ZER01NE DAY

The Hyundai Motor Group (Group) has revealed plans for the 2025 ZER01ne Day, a festival that celebrates imagination and innovative ideas from the creative talent within and beyond.

Running from September 17th to 21st Zer01ne's Day It will be held at the Hyundai Seongsu Complex Hub (formerly Gojin Motors Seongsu Service Center) in Seoul. Located in Seongsu, a hub of cultural and creative trends, the venue will be a touchpoint for future customer experiences.

The 2025 Zer01ne Day will be unfolded under the theme “Zer01ne 0rb1t.” This concept represents creators, startups and group employees interacting with each other as they move along their trajectories. Under this theme, the group aims to redefine how creativity shapes artificial intelligence (AI), robotics and mobility, and explore new frontiers of the universe.

“Zer01ne Day is the stage where participants can freely experiment and embrace new challenges,” said Kyusung Keith Noh, vice president and head of ZER01ne Group, Hyundai Motor Group. “Through this festival, we look forward to sharing innovative achievements curated by ZER01ne's creative talent and sharing our imaginative vision with the public.”

Introducing Innovation: Creator-led projects

This year's festival will feature eight creator-driven projects that explore how AI and Robotics can reshape our lives and mobility. The main participants were:

  • Group Bremen Musicians: Transforms the sound of a satellite signal into data that moves sculpted objects within space.
  • SystemDesign Lab: We will demonstrate six robots that assemble the chair.
  • Psients x Jeffrey Jehwan Kim: Translate the phenomenon of bacteria that break down LPS into music.
  • Gijeong Goo + Seongil Choi: It provides sensory transformation in a space modeled on the interior of a self-driving car.
  • Younggak Cho: Explore the narrative of mobility based on autonomous platoons.

Co-creation of ZER01ne Labs at the intersection of art and business

Additionally, ZER01ne Lab, a collaboration between creators, Hyundai Motor Team and KIA team, will be presenting several joint projects including:

  • Commons City of the Moon: It is envisaged for future moon life and city expansion in cooperation with Hyundai Motor's L Project Team.
  • Parallel cities: Exploring the intersection between automobiles, architecture and living spaces centered around the Kia PV5, and developing it with Kia's future business planning team.
  • Room number α: Co-created with Hyundai Motor's MSV Engineering Solutions team, Kia PV5 has been reimagined as a futuristic space for Generation Alpha.

The newly launched initiative, Zer01ne Lab Ignite, features Mobility's Genai. This is an interactive project developed jointly by Hyundai Motor and KIA employees at Team Name Prompton. Visitors will experience how generative AI evolves from just a tool to partner in the driving environment.

Startup Exhibition & Open Innovation Program

In addition to these creator-led initiatives, six innovative South Korea-based startups will showcase groundbreaking technologies such as:

  • Mobinn: Autonomous Delivery Robot
  • Roai: Automating robot process with AI
  • 3 Solutions: Neutron component analysis solution
  • Narnia Lab: AI Generation Design Platform
  • Omelette: AI-led decision-making platform
  • SoftBerry: EV charging, payment, and vehicle management solutions

Additionally, five overseas startups affiliated with Hyundai Cradle, the global open innovation hub of Hyundai Motor Group, will be taking part in the exhibition. The group operates cradle innovation bases in five countries: the US, Germany, Israel, China and Singapore to identify and cooperate with promising startups around the world.

Zer01ne Day is open to free and no prior registration is required. Visitors can immerse themselves in creativity and innovation while participating in a Don't Guided Tour Program, available throughout the event.
