Humanity coincides with Openai's $1 offer and opens access to parliament and courts

Humanity announced on Tuesday that it would provide Claude to all three branches of the US government for the government for a year.

This is the latest example of major artificial intelligence companies seeking to deepen their relationships with policymakers and regulators in recent months.

Anthropic's competitor Openai announced earlier this month that it will offer ChatGPT Enterprise products to US federal agencies for $1 starting next year.

Humanity said it will partner with the US General Services Agency to bring its technology to participating agencies in the executives, legislative and judicial sectors. The company also provides technical support to help agencies implement AI.

“American AI Leadership requires government agencies to have access to the most capable and secure AI tools available,” said Dario Amodei, CEO of humanity, in a statement.

Competition for US government customers has become fierce.

In June, Anthropic released a set of Claude Gov models built specifically for US national security customers.

The following month, the US Department of Defense announced contract awards of up to $200 million for AI development for humanity, Google, Openai and Elon Musk's Xai. On the same day, Xai announced Grok. This is a set of products that make the company's model available to US government customers.

Openai plans to open its first office in Washington, DC early next year, and in June it launched a new offering called Openai for the government.
